Role Details
Facilities Manager
Responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and optimization of NAWEC’s facilities and infrastructure nationwide. Ensures all buildings, grounds, and support systems operate effectively while providing a safe, efficient, and cost-effective working environment for employees and stakeholders. The position requires both office-based and field-based activities including regular visits to facilities and project sites across the country.
- Oversee maintenance and operation of NAWEC buildings, grounds, offices, substations, water treatment plants, and infrastructure
- Coordinate civil works: repairs, renovations, painting, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, and construction projects
- Prepare maintenance schedules, technical reports, budgets, and procurement requirements
- Develop and manage facilities budgets and resource utilisation
- Supervise contractors undertaking repairs, maintenance, and improvement works
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, deficiencies, and safety concerns
- Respond promptly to facility emergencies, breakdowns, and operational challenges
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate office space planning, workstation setup, and facility allocation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, technical operations, or infrastructure management
- At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of building systems including plumbing, electrical, and general facility maintenance — added advantage
Estate and Documentation Officer
Responsible for managing NAWEC’s property records, estate documentation, and related administrative activities. Ensures that property information, leases, agreements, plans, and other estate records are accurate, properly maintained, accessible, and up to date. The position is both office and field-based and may require visits to NAWEC properties and project sites.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of NAWEC properties, land, buildings, leases, agreements, and related documents
- Manage both physical and electronic estate documentation records
- Coordinate preparation, renewal, and tracking of leases, tenancy agreements, licences, permits, and property-related documents
- Maintain a comprehensive property register including ownership details, locations, boundaries, and usage
- Assist with land and property acquisition, registration, transfers, and related documentation
- Conduct site visits to verify property information, boundaries, occupancy, and estate conditions
- Liaise with government authorities, landlords, surveyors, and stakeholders on estate matters
- Track expiry dates and renewal requirements for leases, permits, and agreements
- Ensure compliance with property, land, legal, and compensation requirements
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business Administration, Estate Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in estate/property management, land administration, or a related field
- Experience working with the Department of Lands and Survey and Physical Planning preferred
- Experience in property valuation and management of land title deeds
- Proficient in MS Office and electronic document management systems
- Certification or experience in Records Management — added advantage
