Full Story
NAWEC continues its preparations for the launch of the Urban Water Network Improvement Project, a key initiative aimed at improving the reliability, efficiency, and accessibility of water supply services for communities across Bundung, Tallinding, Abuko, Lamin Daranka, and Jambur.
The project is particularly important for communities such as Bundung, which have experienced water supply challenges over the years. Through the rehabilitation and expansion of the existing water distribution network — including the installation of new pipes, valves, and associated infrastructure — the project will help ensure a more reliable and sustainable water supply for residents.
As part of the preparations, NAWEC today met with community representatives from Bundung and Tallinding to conduct sensitization sessions and introduce the project contractor. In Bundung, all community representatives were in attendance, while a similar engagement was successfully held in Tallinding.
Both communities have been fully informed about the project and the upcoming launch ceremony, which is scheduled for Thursday, 11 September 2026 at 3:00 PM at Bundung (Six Junction).
