NAWEC informs the public that INSUCO, an independent social consulting firm, has been mandated to conduct asset inventories, socioeconomic surveys, and community consultations for the upcoming Water Supply Project in the Greater Banjul Area (WASIB). This project, funded by AFD, will significantly improve water production, treatment, storage, and distribution across the GBA — benefiting over 220,000 people.
Field activities will run from 23 March to 11 April 2026, covering:
- Inventory of structures, trees, businesses & economic activities
- Socioeconomic questionnaires for owners and users
- Publication of census lists in affected communities
- Opportunity for absent PAPs to come forward within one month
The cutoff date is 10 April 2026, after which new structures or activities established in project areas will not be eligible for compensation.
