The Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines (MOPEM), in collaboration with NAWEC and funding partners, is pleased to announce the official inauguration of newly completed Electricity Access Projects across The Gambia. These ceremonies will be officiated by His Excellency, President Adama Barrow, from 7th to 15th February 2026, as part of the Government’s commitment to universal electricity access.
The projects, implemented under GERMP, GEAP, and ECOREAP, will benefit 719 communities nationwide, enhancing access to reliable, affordable, and sustainable electricity. This milestone supports national goals for socio-economic development, improved livelihoods, and inclusive transformation.

Daily from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, across all regions.

• Panchang (GEAP) – Central River Region

• Boiram & Sutukung (ECOREAP) – Central & Lower River Regions
