New Year Message from the Managing Director, NAWEC
As we welcome 2026, NAWEC extends heartfelt wishes of health, prosperity, and happiness to all our valued customers, dedicated staff, partners, and stakeholders.
The past year was one of determination, progress, and collective achievement. Despite challenges, NAWEC recorded important milestones in strengthening our water and electricity infrastructure, improving service delivery, and advancing national development. These achievements are the result of teamwork, resilience, and our shared mission to serve the people of The Gambia.
I pay special tribute to all NAWEC staff, who work tirelessly day and night, often under demanding conditions, to keep the lights on and water flowing. Your dedication, professionalism, and sacrifice form the backbone of NAWEC’s operations. You are the true face of NAWEC, and your service to the nation is deeply appreciated.
We sincerely thank the Government of The Gambia for its unwavering support and partnership.
To our sponsors and partners, we extend deep gratitude and look forward to strengthening our collaboration.
To our regional partners—SENELEC, EDG, OMVG, and WAPP—thank you for your cooperation and shared vision. Together, we are building the foundations of a stronger, interconnected energy and water future.
To our valued customers, thank you for your patience, trust, and continued support.
To all other stakeholders, we wish you the very best in 2026 and beyond.
To those who have left us, may God grant you peace and comfort in the hereafter.
To those who are unwell, we wish you a swift recovery and renewed strength.
NAWEC is poised to build on the gains made, enhance customer experience, embrace innovation, and deliver more reliable and sustainable water and electricity services nationwide.
May this year be one of growth, peace, and shared achievement for our nation and our region.
On behalf of the Board and Management, I wish you a joyful, peaceful, and prosperous New Year.
Happy New Year 2026.
