The West African Power Pool (WAPP) Secretariat, a specialized institution of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), headquartered in Cotonou, Republic of Benin, has received a financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Solar development in Sub-Saharan Africa Phase 1 (Sahel) <\/strong>and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services<\/p>\n

The consulting services (\u201cthe Services\u201d) include a feasibility study for a Solar Part \u201cPlug and Play\u201d in Gambia with the total indicative capacity of 150 MW with battery storage<\/strong>. The feasibility study consists of the following main tasks:<\/p>\n

  1. Data collection;<\/li>\n
  2. Site selection (preliminary network study for the integration of the Solar Park (s) at the pre-selected substations, identification of potential parcels of land, selection of the final sites and the right of way of connecting to the substation;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
