Reporting<\/div>\n      <div class=\"ess-body\"><strong>Quarterly E&amp;S Reports<\/strong> submitted to the World Bank within 15 days of each reporting period, covering ESCP implementation status, grievances, contractor performance, and incidents.<\/div>\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <h2 class=\"section-heading\">Institutional Arrangements<\/h2>\n\n  <div class=\"story-body\">\n    <p>The ESCP designates NAWEC&#8217;s Project Implementation Unit (PIU), operating under the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines, as the primary responsible entity for implementing all environmental and social commitments under the project. The PIU is required to maintain dedicated, full-time Environmental and Social Specialists exclusively assigned to the WA-REMP Gambia project throughout its implementation period.<\/p>\n    <p>The PIU will work in close collaboration with the National Environment Agency (NEA), the Department of Forestry, the Labor Department, and the National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC), formalised through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) that must be in place prior to project effectiveness.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <div class=\"commitments-box\">\n    <h3>Key Transparency and Accountability Commitments<\/h3>\n    <ul class=\"commitments-list\">\n      <li>Quarterly Environmental and Social performance reports submitted to the World Bank, commencing three months after the project&#8217;s Effective Date<\/li>\n      <li>Incident and accident notifications to the World Bank within 48 hours, with a Corrective Action Plan submitted within 10 days<\/li>\n      <li>A functioning, confidential grievance mechanism for project workers and affected communities, including SEA\/SH reporting pathways<\/li>\n      <li>Full public disclosure of all E&amp;S instruments \u2014 ESIAs, ESMPs, SEP, Resettlement Plans \u2014 prior to project implementation<\/li>\n      <li>Regular capacity-building for the PIU, implementing entities, NAWEC staff, and contractors on World Bank E&amp;S standards and safeguard requirements<\/li>\n    <\/ul>\n  <\/div>\n\n  <h2 class=\"section-heading\">About the WA-REMP Project<\/h2>\n\n  <div class=\"story-body\">\n    <p>The West Africa Regional Energy and Minerals Programme (WA-REMP) is a Multi-Phase Programmatic (MPA) initiative financed by the World Bank&#8217;s International Development Association.
