To support the effective and compliant delivery of project activities, NAWEC seeks a skilled national Procurement Specialist to manage procurement processes in line with World Bank Procurement Regulations.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Assignment Details<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Position:<\/strong> Procurement Specialist<br \/>\n<strong>Project:<\/strong> ECOWAS Regional Electricity Access Project (ECOREAP)<br \/>\n<strong>Reference No.:<\/strong> GM-NAWEC-531835-CS-INDV<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Duration:<\/strong> 1 year (renewable based on performance)<\/p>\n<p>The Procurement Specialist will work closely with the PIU and an International Procurement Advisor to ensure timely and compliant procurement of goods, works, and consulting services.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The selected Consultant will be responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing and publishing procurement notices<\/li>\n<li>Developing bidding documents and RFPs using World Bank templates<\/li>\n<li>Managing communications with bidders<\/li>\n<li>Supporting bid evaluation processes<\/li>\n<li>Preparing evaluation reports and award recommendations<\/li>\n<li>Participating in contract negotiations and finalization<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring compliance with World Bank procurement regulations and national guidelines<\/li>\n<li>Updating the World Bank STEP system<\/li>\n<li>Managing procurement-related reporting and documentation<\/li>\n<li>Providing ongoing technical support throughout contract execution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A full description of duties is provided in the <strong>Terms of Reference (TOR)<\/strong> linked below.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Required Qualifications<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or internationally recognized certificate in Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, or related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in internationally financed projects (preferably in West Africa)<\/li>\n<li>Experience with procurement in electricity or infrastructure projects is an advantage<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of World Bank procurement regulations<\/li>\n<li>Experience with projects in The Gambia is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and spoken English<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Application Package<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Interested candidates must submit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A cover letter<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae (CV)<\/li>\n<li>Copies of academic qualifications and certificates (may be requested)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><strong>Submission Deadline<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Close of Business: 18 March 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit Expressions of Interest to:<\/p>\n<p><strong>PIU \u2013 Gambia<\/strong><br \/>\nAttn: Haddy Njie, Project Coordinator<br \/>\n53 Mamadi Maniyang Highway<br \/>\nKanifing, K.M.C<br \/>\nP.O.
