Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain our organization’s network infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and security.
- Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures to safeguard against cyber threats and unauthorized access.
- Monitor network performance and analyse traffic patterns to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in networking and cybersecurity to enhance our network capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (BSc).
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in network engineering and administration.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Proficiency in network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and network management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Additional certification such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and knowledge of cybersecurity principles will be considered a significant advantage.
