Project Name: PROCUREMENT AND SUPPLY OF LIGHT FUEL OIL (DIESEL) AND FUEL COUPONS

The National Water and Electricity Company Ltd. (NAWEC) has budgeted funding for the Procurement and supply of Light Fuel Oil (Diesel) and Fuel Coupons in the following lots:

LOT I

Procurement and Supply of Light Fuel Oil (Diesel) to Power Stations and Water Treatment Plants

LOT II

Procurement and Supply of Monthly Fuel Coupons

1. NAWEC intends to place a Contract for the supply and delivery of these good/services for a period of one (1) year.
2. The goods to be supplied shall be delivered at:

NAWEC Power Stations and Water Treatment Plants for the bulk supply of Light Fuel Oil (LFO) under Lot I and  

NAWEC Head Office at 53 Mamadi Maniyang Highway, Kanifing for the Monthly Fuel Coupons under Lot II.  

The required time for the supply of the goods/performance of the services is One (1) year from date of Contract Signature.

3. The National Water and Electricity Company Ltd. (NAWEC) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the supply of LFO to NAWEC power stations and water treatment plants across the country and monthly fuel coupons for a period of one year with possibility of an extension based on the supplier’s performance.
4. The deadline for submission of inquiries and requests for clarifications is Thursday 20^th March 2025 at 12:00 noon. A pre-bid conference will not take place.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bid documents at the office of The Senior Procurement and Materials Manager, 53 Mamadi Maniyang Highway, P.O Box 609, Kanifing by email, bmboob@nawec.gm and mabah@nawec.gm.
6. A complete set of Bid documents in English language may be purchased by interested Bidders from Wednesday 19^th February 2025 on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Twenty-Five Thousand Dalasi (GMD 25,000.00). The method of payment is by Cash.
7. Bids must be delivered to Office of the Managing Director, 53 Mamadi Maniyang Highway, P.O Box 609, Kanifing on or before 12:00 Noon Banjul time on Thursday 20^th March 2025 and must be accompanied by a Bid Security from a Bank for:        GMD 2,000,000.00 (Two Million Dalasi) for Lot 1 aGMD 750,000 (Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand Dalasi) for Lot 2.

8. Bidders must submit a certified copy of a valid Petroleum Import and Re-export License issued by PURA, which authorizes suppliers to supply and deliver LFO within The Gambia.
9. Bids will be opened in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at Thursday 20^th March 2025 at 12:30 AM at the Boardroom of NAWEC Head Office, 53 Mamadi Maniyang Highway, Kanifing.
