Job Title: Transport Officer/Vehicle Control

Role The Transport Officer/Vehicle Control is responsible for assisting the Transport, Facilities, and Security Department in overseeing the daily operations of the company’s vehicle fleet and ensuring the efficient and safe use of transportation resources at the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC). This role plays a pivotal part in optimizing transport operations and ensuring compliance with safety and security standards.

Reports to Senior Transport, Facilities and Security Manager.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Advanced Diploma or equivalent in Transport Management or a related field; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Proven experience in vehicle control, transport logistics, or a related role.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations, safety standards, and security protocols.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety and security.

Other Person Specifications:

Fleet Management:

• Vehicle Allocation: Assist in coordinating the allocation of company vehicles for various purposes, including employee transportation, maintenance, and emergency responses.
• Maintenance Oversight: Monitor and track vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure all vehicles are in good working condition. Report maintenance needs to the Transport Manager.
